Datatech Business Centre is a thriving professional environment supporting a diverse range of businesses in Saanich, BC. We are seeking a reliable and organized Office Assistant to provide reception and administrative support to all companies within the Centre. In this role, you will be the first point of contact with clients and visitors and will contribute to the smooth daily operations of the office.

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Coordinator to manage the accounts receivable function and provide general accounting support across our mixed income producing properties portfolio. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings strong accounts receivable and bookkeeping experience. This role acts as a key liaison between the property management team, accounting team, and tenants to ensure timely collection of receivables and accuracy of financial records.
Position Overview
The Office Assistant provides reception and administrative support to tenants and visitors while ensuring the Business Centre operates efficiently. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a professional approach to customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls; take and relay accurate messages
- Welcome and assist visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and courier services
- Provide general administrative support to Business Centre tenants
- Schedule and manage conference room and meeting space bookings
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering office and kitchen supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shared common areas
- Support administrative staff with operational and day-to-day tasks as required
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma
- Strong customer service orientation with professional interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated accountability and problem-solving capability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Previous office experience is considered an asset
- Experience with QuickBooks is an advantage
